Turkey Pie Recipe

Recipe difficulty: 🥕🥕

1 pack puff pastry (2 sheets 25 cm each ready-rolled puff pastry)
4 big tomatoes
1,76 lb (800 g) turkey fillet
0,33 lb (150g) cheese you like
3 tea spoon salt
1 tea spoon pepper
4 potatoes
3,38 fl oz (100 ml) milk
2 tbsp butter

💬 Note: This pie can be cooked with turkey or chicken, and also you can try to use different parts of meat depends on your taste. The main secret of baking this pie is adding cheese and tomatoes to avoid dryness.

How to cook a turkey/chicken pie

1. Fry turkey in the pan. When it will be half ready fry turkey
add salt (2 tsp), pepper (1 tsp) and cut 3 tomatoes. Fry about 20 min till tomatoes will be evaporated
2. Boil the potatoes in a pot with salty water (1 tsp of salt ) till soft - try readiness with a fork in 30 min of boiling
3. Prepare mashed potatoes: peel off potatoes, mash in a bowl and add butter and milk. Mix all - try to do it without lumps. Note, potatoes must be warm (it will be easier to mix)
4. Roll 1 sheet of a dough (it must not be very thin). Lay it on the baking dish
5. On this sheet lay mashed potatoes, cut in circles 1 tomato, fried turkey and cheese peaces as on the photos below

6. Roll another sheet and put it on top of the the filling. Merge 2 sheets around the edge of the pie (or seal edges with a fork)
turkey pie7. Make cuts in the dough for steam to escape. (or use shapes beforehand and then lay it on top of the filling)
8. Preheat oven 356F(180C). Bake pie about 35-40 min till golden crust
